El Rincón de Murillo

rincon murilloIn a cosy corner spot formerly owned by Casa Roman, El Rincon de Murillo took over the location about a year ago. Not surprisingly, as it’s in the heart of the Barrio Santa Cruz and has a couple of hotels and holiday apartment buildings alongside, the clientele seems to be mainly tourists, but the bar and the tapas are typical and traditional. One novel feature is the perspex floor over the wine cellar (I want this in my house), and I also liked the wood beam ceilings. The tapas are good, and a couple of the staff took time to chat to us (though it wasn’t busy at the time). Overall a pleasant experience.
