Like its sister bars La Bodega and La Viuda, Bodega Dos de Mayo serves up traditional Andalusian-style tapas in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Inside is a long bar with tables along the windows in front of it, and more dining space at the back. It also has a massive terrace on Plaza Gavidia, great for people watching.
The menu has a good selection of both cold and cooked tapas with a focus on fish and seafood (bacalao is a speciality). Still very much a local’s bar, it’s always lively and bustling so be sure to get there early if you want to get a table. My favourite tapa is the marinated pork liver with spring onion and cilantro, as well as their fritos. Good value for money.

Hi Claude,
Thanks for such a nice comment about Dos de Mayo, but it isn’t mine – I just have a page for them here on the blog. Next time I go I’ll ask them if they’ve seen the comments here.
Hello,
I visited Sevilla in 2008 for the “Feria de Abril”, on my last day I happened upon your fantastic bar, I wish I had found you at the beginning of my visit.
I had fantastic food & the atmosphere was electrifying! I hope to return soon!
Regards
Jonathan
