As you might expect in a bar that’s just across the street from the bullring, Pepe Hillo is distinctly “rustic” and bullfighting themed, with several big bulls’ heads adorning the walls and lots of wood beams and shelving. It has a small sidewalk terrace and connects to a second bar area that fronts onto another street.
The food is typical tapas fare, with traditional fritos and guisos. Prices are reasonable and portions generous, and the service was okay. All in all, a perfectly adequate place to stop in the area, though we didn’t find it to be anything special.
