Barbiana Restaurante

Updated October 2024

Specialising in fish, seafood and wines from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Barbiana delivers the goods (and saves you a trip to the coast). The atmosphere is super traditional as is the professional and courteous service. And the food is very good. One of the very best tortillitas de camerones I’ve had outside of Sanlúcar, as well as delicious stews, grilled & garlicky fish, seafood croquetas and the elusive sopa de galeras...

My favourite place is at the bar but there is also a dining room at the back and a roomy terrace on the pedestrian street. Beware the “off the menu” specials – be sure to ask the price before ordering. There’s a good wine list, including some excellent sherries.
