Barbiana Restaurante

Updated November 2025

Specialising in fish, seafood and wines from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Barbiana delivers the goods (and saves you a trip to the coast). The atmosphere is super traditional as is the professional and courteous service. And the food is very good. One of the very best tortillitas de camerones I’ve had outside of Sanlúcar, as well as delicious stews, grilled & garlicky fish, seafood croquetas and the elusive sopa de galeras... oh, and the tuna “a la sal” is a must have.

My favourite place is at the bar but there is also a dining room at the back and a roomy terrace on the pedestrian street. There’s a good wine list, including some excellent sherries.
