A traditional family-run tapas bar (now into its third generation) with traditional food and a decent wine selection, Casablanca is a longtime Sevillano favourite that relocated to a busy corner spot near the Puerta de Jerez from their original spot on Zaragoza street in 2005. Tapas are available at the bar, raciones at the tables inside and outdoor tables.
Bar service is fast and friendly. If you’re outside then you will have to go inside to order at the bar. Be sure to try the tortilla al whisky and boquerones fritos, and check out the daily specials. Recent specials that were exceptional include swordfish in saffron and asparagus sauce and tender oxtail in puff pastry. If you want a sit down dinner be sure to book as the dining area is quite small.
