This is one of the first bars I got to know when I moved to Sevilla almost 28 years ago. It’s gone through many changes since then, including being closed down for awhile. The bar itself is so full of history and hasn’t been tarted up other than adding quite a nice terrace out in the Plaza del Pan.
It’s a short menu with daily tapa specials so you may not see everything I’ve posted here in the photo section. Service at the bar is ace – very friendly and helpful. And there’s a very good selection of wines by the glass. Table and terrace service can vary, in part because the kitchen tends to be a bit slow, so perhaps not the best place to go if you’re in a hurry. But if you aren’t in a rush and feel like trying some interesting and innovative tapas in one of Sevilla’s oldest bars, then give it a go.
