Offering “vinos y picoteo” (wines and snacks) the menu actually lists typical gastrobar fare at gastrobar prices. The food is good and nicely presented, the wines are decent and the service is friendly and helpful. But it’s somehow all too familiar. The tuna belly “a mi manera” (my way) is actually done the same way as another local tapas bar has been doing for years. No real complaints, but didn’t find that “one special dish” that would make me want to go back for more, since I can find pretty much everything on the menu anywhere that serves food on slate. But it’s early days for the newly opened La Fabrica, which is still making changes (they’ll be opening for breakfast in January) so perhaps some interesting tapas options on the menu are also in store.
