UPDATE: Sadly Zalata has closed its doors for good after five years, the final one struggling with challenges brought on by the pandemic. I will keep this here as a tribute to Younes and Viviana and the wonderful meals I enjoyed here.
Zalata is a slightly off the beaten track neighbourhood bar run by husband & wife team Younes & Viviana. Turquoise and cream walls with light wood tables give the place a fresh look and feel. The modest sized menu is a fusion of Spanish, Moroccan and Peruvian, with a few touches acquired by Younes on his travels, and includes starters and salads, hot and cold meat and fish dishes, and desserts.
Favourite dishes are quite a varied selection that included really crunchy & tasty chicken croquettes, a deliciously light and citrusy ceviche, and perfectly grilled pluma Ibérica, and grilled swordfish with radish slaw. And don’t miss the dark chocolate cake with a light fresh chestnut sauce.
Excellent friendly service makes you feel right at home.
