Founded in 1670 El Rinconcillo has undergone many changes over the years. And even though it has now turned into a tourist attraction with visitors queuing up to await their chance to experience “authentic Sevilla”, I still like the place for a quick stop to have a drink and a snack at the bar. There are also dining rooms upstairs and a small dining area on the main floor. Famous for its spinach with garbanzos (though it’s not my favourite) and pavía de bacalao (a bit better), they also do a very nice arroz del día (rice of the day) at lunchtime. There’s a selection of tortillas, which here are more like a French omelette, with a variety of fillings. There’s also a good selection of charcuterie and cheeses.
