A beautiful setting that has been recently done over to include a couple of dining areas outdoors (raciones only) and a small tapas bar inside. The tapas bar has an odd self-service policy, which was confusing to me during my visit as there were three waiters behind the bar doing nothing in particular, and there aren’t many tables to serve in the tapas bar area … but, the food! The tapas are well executed and well-priced (2-3 euros). On the downside, the wine is overpriced (2.70 euros for a small glass of okay rueda). Overall I liked it – but the “service” at the bar seriously needs to be improved.

On my last two visit I have tried Raza and I have to say that the food is terrible. Their ensaladilla have no taste to speak of, their ox-tail are leathery and I could continue. Their service is very sub-par. Best thing I can say is that they keep forgetting to deliver things ordered, so you can scratch that from the bill. The waiters are not attentive and they even argue in front of customers. Finally the prizes have become high – even in their tapas section. Seems they are a victim of their own location close to Plaza españa.
Hi Jesper
Sorry to hear about your unpleasant experiences. As you can see from the date of this post I haven’t been back there in quite some time. I do try and update places as often as I can, but I also tend to go back to ones I have particularly enjoyed.
