La Empatía opened in December last year (2024) and has already become a popular neighbourhood spot. The small bar inside is cosy with attractive blue tiles and there are few tables on the side walk terrace.
Specialising in Gadira red tuna from Barbate which is offered up in many ways: as tartare and tataky, in crispy corn tacos and soft toasted brioches, smoked on toast, cured or marinated, grilled with beurre blanc… to name a few. There is also a small selection of cold tapas, fried fish and grilled meats and a good wine list.
