In 2013 Jaime Alpresa, a musician by profession, decided to enter the world of hospitality by opening his own restaurant, thereby fulfilling another of his dreams. The décor and ambiance is a blend of bullfighting, music, and Semana Santa. Bullfighting costumes encased in glass adorn the walls along with photos of well-known toreros and flamenco artists. There’s an attractive bar downstairs, with a small sidewalk terrace, and an upstairs dining room. The menu, inspired by the owner’s mother, is traditional with classic tapas and there’s also a good selection of both regional and national wines.
Most dishes are offered both as a tapa or ración with the exception of the rice dishes, revueltos (a house speciality) and the grilled meats. Don’t miss the marinated fried chicken and grilled morcilla de Burgos, and be sure to check the daily specials. Very friendly and attentive service.
