It was a hit and miss experience at Chiqueros, a recently opened “abacería moderna” in the Arenal, near the bullring. The menu features a selection of charcuterie and cheeses, various montaditos and a few hot dishes. We enjoyed the chicherrones de Cádiz but the gamba con alioli montadito was lacking in both ingredients and the solomillo al whisky was frankly inedible. Judging by the huge array of spirits on the shelves behind the bar we got the impression they are looking for more of a between-after hours clientele and so the food is incidental.
Aside from the narrow bar area inside there is also a side walk terrace. Service was friendly, which helped.
