Bar Alfalfa is located at the east end of Plaza Alfalfa in a beautiful corner building that has been home to many different establishments over the years. And it’s always packed, which isn’t really surprising given its size. The owner is Italian and there are two menus: the printed bar menu that mostly offers variations on bruschetta, along with cheeses and charcuterie, and the blackboard menu that lists a selection of (mainly) Spanish tapas. The food is simple and good, the bar service is friendly, and the atmosphere cosy and convivial.
