Porta Rossa

This is my favourite Italian restaurant in Sevilla. The food is absolutely exquisite!

The restaurant is quite small and cosy, the two owners are very ‘hands-on’ and give the place a very personal quality that is sometimes missing in Sevilla, especially in terms of service. The food is amazing. All the pasta is made on the premises, all ingredients are as fresh as can be.

Personal favourites include the rocket salad, mixed cheese & cured meat plates and a wonderful ravioli stuffed with pinenuts & seta mushrooms and served in a cream sauce with nutmeg (it tastes like Christmas!). The beef tenderloin in a black peppercorn and vodka sauce is …. oh, I can’t find the words.

So just go and eat there, okay? But make a reservation first because it’s quite small and tends to fill up quite fast.
