Danny Cárdenas has returned to the city centre with a second Lima Street Food location, sister bar to his original spot in Nervión. Lima Street Food Centro has the same menu and same colourful decor as the original and is divided between a cosy bar and an attractive dining area, with a side walk terrace.
Super fresh ceviches and maki are a great way to start off here. The chicken ají croquetas and fried cheese sticks with guacamole cream are all comfort food goodness and the various causitas and anticuchos guarantee something for everyone, including both meat and vegan options. All the food is beautifully presented and the service is excellent. Be sure you try one of the fabulous pisco sours, either before or after – or what the heck, even during – your meal. Lots of other great cocktails on the list too along with a selection of Peruvian beers. Happy to have my favourite ceviche/nikkei place a bit closer to home.
