El Sereno is a new Abecería (opened in March 2019) in the city centre that’s also open for breakfast. It’s a pleasant, light space with a long bar in the front, and a smaller space in the back with tall tables and stools. There’s no kitchen, and the menu is mainly quality conserves, charcuterie, cheeses, and montaditos. There’s also a good selection of sherries and other wines. We only stopped in briefly for a glass of dry sherry (a nice fino and manzanilla), and also sampled a tapa of excellent chicharrones de Cádiz. Will be back.
