Casa Gago in Triana opened some two years ago, as an outlet for the younger members of the family that owns La Taberna in the city centre. It’s a pleasant little bar with half a dozen tables inside and an outside terrace for extra seating. The menu, like a fair number of new bars, aims for a kind of “traditional with innovations”, and so includes potajes, and a flamenquín with gorgonzola. Our favourite of the dishes we chose was a straightforward fried cuttlefish, and also the fried chicken. A grilled secreto that didn’t come out right the first time was immediately replaced. Service was friendly and efficient.
