This is the third, newly opened member of the Blanco Cerrillo group (the other two are in Sevilla centre and Gines), and although all that tile work is shiny, brand-spanking new, it’s very much a typical Triana fried fish bar. Long, narrow bar inside, pleasant terrace outside in the square, casual friendly waiters, and full of local people stopping for some refreshment.
And of course, the food. Boquerones (fresh anchovies) in adobo or al vinagre, squid, hake pavía, and other typical fried fish and seafood, with a dish of lupins (those yellow beans) on the side, washed down with a caña of beer or a nice glass of chilled manzanilla. An excellent way to spend an hour or so of your time.
