Originally a family palace across from the old Atarazanas shipyard that was then converted into a coal yard, Arco Tapas was founded in 1972. This family run business has also been in the business of reinventing itself every few years, being passed down from parents to children and now grandchildren, each generation providing a new take on the tapas scene in Sevilla.
The tapas – and decor – in the latest incarnation are both stylish and classic. Ensaladilla topped with a bright green olive mayonnaise, solomillo topped with a creamy paté sauce. It’s the kind of place that left me wanting more, which is pretty unusual these days. So I will definitely be back to try out more of the tapas, which are very reasonably priced at about 3€ each. Desserts look interesting too.
