The latest bar to open in the Plaza Alfalfa is run by three friends, chef Manuel Montes and (brothers) Pablo and Antonio Coronel. The menu features traditional Andalusian dishes, most offered as tapas, which was kind of a nice surprise (I was half expecting a gastro bar). The décor is simple and attractive with comfortable low tables, lots of exposed brick, plants and natural light. There is also a cosy plant filled terrace facing the square.
We just tried a few things on this first visit and enjoyed both the food and the friendly service. It’s nice to see a proper tapas bar in the square again.
