Los Remedios is the 1950s suburb on the west side of the river, south of Triana. For the most part not of great historical interest (although Magellan sailed from next to the San Telmo bridge, whose middle section could be raised to allow the passage of sailing ships), and the April fairground, built on land reclaimed from the river when it was diverted in the early 20th century is just beyond the Remedios bridge. There are, however, a number of good bars that are worth going to.
