Horno San Buenaventura

horno exterior

My favourite breakfast bar in Sevilla, serving the very best coffee in town (I think the only bar that uses fresh milk, not UHT) and offering a wide selection of freshly baked breads served toasted with the topping/filling of your choice. Butter or olive oil, jam, fresh tomatoes, jamon serrano, tortilla, manchego cheese, ham & cheese, smoked salmon, you name it. There is also a take-away food section and bakery, and tapas are served after 1.00 pm.

The most friendly and efficient staff you’d ever want to meet (if you sit at the bar – table service can be a bit slow). I just love it there. And I always try to place myself at the bar in front of the kitchen window so I can call out to Paco or Sergio – ‘hey, make sure you get that extra toasted, it’s for me!’.

What can I say? It’s just a wonderful experience – try it and see.
