To the east of the old city are the suburbs of San Bernardo (originally an arrabal, or neighbourhood outside the walls), La Buhaira (around the Moorish summer palace of that name), and Nervión, best known for being the home of Seville Football Club. In general it’s a typical suburban, could be almost anywhere place, with a couple of big shopping centres, and mid to late 20th century housing, but there were a couple of villages here, and some parts still reflect that. Some very good bars around though, should you find yourself out here shopping or at a loose end after the football game.
