Al Solito Posto opens early for breakfast in the nicely renovated Plaza de las Pescaderías, and stays open late for cocktails. I have visited their beachside restaurant in Zahara and liked it a lot, but have yet to go to the Alameda restaurant. Here I’ve been underwhelmed by the salads (pretty to look at, lacking in flavour), but the pizzas are very good and there is a great terrace for people watching. Service is attentive and efficient and it feels like a real comfortable neighbourhood hangout. In fact, “al solito posto”.

Something new: tapas from Monday to Thursday at 3.50€ for a tapa and a drink (beer, house wine, soft drink). Quite a good deal and the Italian-Spanish fusion tapas are very nice indeed (see pic below). This is a better option for me than the typical “menu del día” since I don’t ever want dessert or coffee. Also good value for an evening tapeo.
