Originally from Canada, I’ve been living in Seville, Spain since September 1993. Previously I have lived in Winnipeg, Toronto, Bristol and Salamanca (in that order).

In May 2006 I started casa az – it was my first ever blog and was created as a general interest, as well as personal interest, “blogazine” type of place.

Then came Sevilla Tapas, my personal collection of the best tapas bars & restaurants in Seville, which started quite by chance in April 2007 when I was out for lunch with a friend. It was such a beautiful spring day that I took a few photos of the square where we were sitting. For a laugh I also took photos of our lunch to show friends on my casa az blog. The response was so positive that I started publishing regular “lunch posts”, which eventually led to starting this separate website for Sevilla Tapas and the “azahar’s Sevilla” blog.

In January 2010 I created the “all about Sevilla” forum so that visitors and locals alike could ask questions and share opinions & experiences about such things as accommodation, transportation, things to see & do, and – of course – tapas!

Posts here will include topics such as culture, travel, accomodation, “alternatours”, cooking classes, tapas, restaurants, wines, flamenco, books & films, and places of interest.

Because basically, it’s all about Sevilla.
