Al Quite cervecer\u00eda<\/em> opened just over a year ago in Canalejas Street (my ‘hood). Owned and run by five school friends (Pepe de Las Cuevas, Pablo L\u00f3pez, Andr\u00e9s Carrasco, Roberto Espigares and Luis Baena) this is their first foray into the hospitality sector. The small corner location is encased in floor-to-ceiling windows lined with tall tables and leather stools, with more stools along the bar. There is also a small sidewalk terrace.<\/p>\n

The menu offers a selection of quality charcuterie and cheeses, tinned fish and cold dishes such as ensaladilla, tortilla and salmorejo. There are also a few hot dishes, toasted montaditos and larger tostas with various toppings. There’s a short wine list with regional and national wines, as well as a few sherry wines, and of course ice cold Cruzcampo (served with super spicy piment\u00f3n olives, which I love). With very friendly service and a cosy ambiance, Al Quite is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.<\/p>\n
