The latest opening from the Ovejas Negras group, El Favorito recreates the atmosphere and cuisine of an old style tapas bar, just off the Plaza Nueva in the city centre. Spacious, almost cavernous, with high ceilings, exposed brick, traditional tiling and an impressive wooden bar topped with coloured marble, it also has an additional dining area in the back alongside the kitchen. Outside is a long terraza on the pedestrianised street.<\/p>\n

Open for traditional breakfast from 8 until midday, and thereafter for tapas and raciones with an all-day kitchen. The menu is very much a classic collection, from chacinas and croquetas to fritos of boquerones or chocos, or typical meat dishes such as solomillo al whisky. A short wine list with a good selection.<\/p>\n
