Sibling co-owners Jos\u00e9 Alberto and Puri Portillo Goncet have opened a sister bar to their central abacer\u00eda Maestro Marcelino in the Alameda. The main difference is that here there is a full kitchen and an ample terrace, but the same care given to quality of product, especially the charcuterie and cheeses. The space inside is well-lit and simply furnished with low tables at the front and high tables that run along the bar.<\/p>\n

The menu has something for everybody. We’ve been for beer and cold snacks as well as for hot tapas, and we were impressed each time, not only with the quality of the food but also (especially?) the quality of the service. The staff are clearly well-trained and are not only attentive and professional but also super friendly. And the food is terrific. Fabulous croquetas (always a benchmark tapa for me), and excellent grilled meats.<\/p>\n
