Sister bar to Lu\u00eds Blanco Giles’ Salsamento<\/a> (just around the corner, and a stone’s throw from the Metropol Parasol – AKA Las Setas) this location has recently been renamed from Ba\u00f1adera (the original bar at this location, La Ba\u00f1era, was a well-loved local tasca). Lu\u00eds has transformed it into a cosy and stylish spot, making good use of the floor-to-ceiling windows that let in lots of natural light. Recently the windows have had a makeover and they now open so it’s almost like sitting outside.<\/p>\n

As at Salsamento, the menu is mostly high quality charcuterie, preserved fish, cold tapas, with a few stews and “tostas” rounding things out. The wine menu is short but covers most bases. It’s a great place for a light lunch or a start-off point for your evening tapeo.<\/p>\n
