I’d previously been to Ignacio Vidal Centro<\/a>, and decided that it was time to visit the original restaurant in Porvenir. It’s quite a large establishment, with a substantial bar area for tapas, and a restaurant-dining area in the back (the posher bit, with tablecloths and everything), in a fairly modern style, but including exposed brick pillars, and some nice paintings on the walls. Good service, especially as we were there quite late in the afternoon, and I think the kichen was \u201cwinding down\u201d.<\/p>\n

There’s good selection of tapas and wines. The tapas were a bit more expensive than standard, but also a little larger, so worked out quite reasonable. The quality was very good too. Favourites were an excellent tuna tataky, and a \u201cbroken eggs\u201d style tapa with jam\u00f3n and fried potatoes on a bed of pisto.<\/p>\n
