I remember this typical little neighbourhood bar from back in the days when it belonged to the Peregil family<\/a>. It changed hands a few years ago and is now run by Manuel Gonz\u00e1lez. Visually it remains pretty much the same, with a few hipster touches added here and there, most notably in the menu. It’s a cosy place, with about about eight or nine tables, with a small mezzanine functions room above the bar. Decoration includes a wrought iron \u201cstreet lamp\u201d and a wooden \u201ccrocodile\u201d hanging from the ceiling that was doubtless inspired by the one in the cathedral.<\/p>\n

A modest menu includes traditional charcuterie and stews like lomo con tomate<\/em> and espinacas con gabanzos<\/em>, as well as vegetarian and gluten free options (there’s even a chalkboard menu in English). Service is a bit hit and miss but it’s a nice neighbourhood place to stop for a snack on your tapeo.<\/p>\n
