\"tascaOut in the wilds of Los Bermejales you’ll find this delightful tasca, opened 4 years ago by local artist Manuel Luna.<\/a> You walk past the sidewalk terrace into a cosy rustic bar area and kitchen with an equally cosy (and rustic) little dining area down a narrow hallway. The staff are friendly and welcoming and soon you’ll find yourself sitting at the bar chatting over ice cold beers. Or else choose from a very interesting wine list.<\/p>\n

Tapas are simply done and are as tasty as they are imaginative. Be sure to try the insanely delicious ensaladilla mech\u00e1\u00a0<\/em>made with meat and cabbage rather than the usual potatoes and seafood. The house specialities are named after painters: Dali’s Dream, Pan da Vinci, the Madness of Van Gough and Goya’s Whim. But one of my favourite treats are the Santo\u00f1a anchovies served straight from the tin with olive-oil drizzled toast.<\/p>\n

The artwork on the walls changes regularly, and every Wednesday you can choose from 28 different types of migas (fried breadcrumbs), which is much tastier than you may think.<\/p>\n

If, like me, you don’t have a car, just hop the number 34 bus next to the Alfonso XIII Hotel. Worth the ride.<\/p>\n
