\nIn 2012 Abacer\u00eda J.M. moved from a small side street around the corner to its present location on busy San Pablo Street. A very good move. This is a pleasant spot to stop in for a snack or light meal while shopping. The bar inside has large windows that open onto the street and there is also a pleasant side walk terraza.<\/p>\n

The food is simple and good, with the emphasis on stews and other comfort food dishes, and the occasional surprise like the exquisite silky cod liver p\u00e2t\u00e9. There’s a short wine list but I tend to stick with the ice-cold beer on tap or a perfectly chilled manzanilla. It’s good to still have proper neighbourhood bars like this in the city centre.<\/p>\n
