Suspiro Tapas & Vinos opened this past summer in the always buzzy Alameda de Hércules, the fourth venture by chef Rachid Ismael, launched together with his partners Aziz and Ayoub. Their culinary journey began in 2019 with the opening of Ojalá Tapas & Vinos, followed by Rayo Verde, and later La Carnívora, a restaurant focused on gourmet burgers. This restaurant has a prime corner location with outdoor seating on either side. Inside the decor is charming and welcoming.

It was a first and short visit but, other than the nice creamy cheese croquetas, we found the other tapas we tried simply “okay”. An uninspired wine list and indifferent service didn’t help the experience any. I know it’s early days for them so maybe they’ll get it together.
