I’d been past this bar near the market in Triana quite a few times, but after popping in for a beer o’clock one lunchtime, and liking the feel of the place, it went on my to do list, and not long afterwards I was back to try out some tapas.

It consists of a small L-shaped bar with a well aged wooden bartop, and a cosy dining room with a corner window that gives it character, together with coat hangers in the form of animal heads (goats, chickens etc), and a model of half the Triana bridge (with a sailing ship on top – hmmm…). There are also a few tall tables and shelves out on the sidewalk.

The menu is quite traditional, with a selection of charcuterie and cheeses, as well as typical hot tapas. We settled for some nice crunchy croquetas, fried hake, carne con tomate, and grilled pork, which made for a good variety of different styles, and the quality was good. Worth a visit if you’re in the vicinity.
