A stone’s throw from the Cathedral, Mateos “slow food” tapas bar is the latest spot to open in increasingly busy calle Mateos Gago. The menu has a “something for everyone” feel to it. We just tried some of the fritos, which were fine. Wine list is okay, but the staff clearly need better training. Pleasant enough atmosphere, but doesn’t quite shake that touristy feel.
