sherry-and-tapas-1This is the tapas tour you want to take if you don’t want to feel like you are on a tour. I have been living in Sevilla for 25 years and have been running this website since 2007. I am also a certified Sherry Educator. My tapas tours grew organically via the site, and I have been happily taking people out on “tapeos” for over ten years. So join me to experience some of Sevilla’s best bars and enjoy an excellent selection of tapas & wines while learning about the art of bar-hopping, tapas etiquette, and the origins and history of tapas.

Lunchtime (12.30 – 16.00) or evening (20.00 – 23.30) tours last about 3.5 hours. A typical “tapeo” will include visiting three bars and enjoying a selection of tapas and a drink at each place. Because tapas bars tend to be small and often quite crowded, groups are limited to 2-6 people. Sometimes you will be standing up at the bar, other times it will be possible to find a table, or even book a table in advance.

Larger groups can be accommodated on private tours with a slightly modified itinerary.

You will be encouraged to order your own food & drink and will also be given a list of food translations, as well as other “rutas de tapas” that you can try out another day on your own, with your newly acquired knowledge of Spanish cuisine.

You can choose between two options: the Old Town Tapeo, taking in the monuments and small streets of barrios El Arenal, Santa Cruz and the Alfalfa, or the Tasting Triana Tour, to experience this lesser-known barrio across the river and its hidden gems.
