Sevilla’s oldest bar (founded in 1670), this place has to be experienced. The ‘ambientation’ is fabulous, though often very busy. Excellent cuminy spinach with garbanzos and arroz del día (rice of the day). They also do a selection of tortillas, which here are more like a French omelette. Variations include jamón serrano, wild mushrooms, prawns, asparagus – all very good. A great place to stop off at the beginning of your “tapear” evening to soak in a bit of Sevillano atmosphere along with your manzanilla sherry and olives.
