Sevilla’s oldest bar (founded in 1670), this place has to be experienced. The ‘ambientation’ is fabulous, though often very busy. Touted as having the best spinach with garbanzos in town (though I’ve had better elsewhere). They also do a selection of ‘revueltos’, which are a kind of scrambled egg dish. Variations include jamón serrano, wild mushrooms, prawns, asparagus – all very nice. A great place to stop off at the beginning of your “tapear” evening to soak in a bit of Sevillano atmosphere along with your manzanilla sherry and olives.
