El Gallinero de Sandra

Updated December 2014

It had been three years since my first visit to El Gallinero de Sandra, so when friends asked about going to a “proper restaurant” rather than a tapas bar it seemed like a good reason to go back.

There have been a few changes. The restaurant has been redecorated but the décor and ambiance, with a whimsically-decorated dining room and a spacious outdoor terrace, remains charming and comfortable.  The wine list is very well thought out and reasonably priced, and the food is top notch. The prawn salad and grilled presa Ibérica were our favourites on this visit. One of Sevilla’s few excellent restaurant options.
