Life, eh? Last week I didn’t even know that Yunquera existed, but my friend Kathy had been doing some net surfing and somehow found out about Ann Larson and Kenton Smith, so I was invited along to visit their home and olive grove, overlooking the white village of Yunquera. We drove up there (and I mean UP there) via Ronda on a winding mountain road with spectacular scenery and a few road-crossing goats. Kenton met us in Yunquera to take us on the last short leg of our journey in his four-wheel drive and we were greeted by Ann and two rambuncious but lovable boxers. I’ll write more about our visit on the azahar Sevilla blog (Ann has already beaten me to it on her blog) but for now here are some pics I took during our visit.

Shawn, fabulous at Ann and Kenton’s Yunquera aerie! I went there during the olive harvest (http://mykitcheninspain.blogspot.com.es/2012/03/fresh-squeezed-olive-juice.html). Love the body cream with an olive oil base and cardomom scent.
Ladies, I blush! I had mentioned to Shawn that one of the very nicest things about living here is that I’ve met some fabulous people!
Hola chicas! I think we must arrange a meet up in Mijas, what do you say?
